2022 has been an absolutely cracking year so far for the Plainview Team. From providing planning consultancy advice on the acquisition and management of Watermoor Point, a 6 acre employment site in Cirencester; to securing new visitor facilities for the RSPB; to gaining planning permission for new dwellings across England, including Uttlesford, Cheltenham and London to name but a few – we are delighted to see our team go from strength to strength.

ASSOCIATE PLANNER 

A unique opportunity to be a key player in the growth of our successful and innovative planning consultancy. 

Calling all planners who are after the excitement that comes from being involved in a small but dynamic consultancy based in Cirencester, set within a wider property group which is growing fast.

We are looking for someone with ideally 4 years of planning or development consultancy experience, who is also keen for an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of a thriving small business. A bit more about the role and Team Plainview 

This is a full time, senior position, with tremendous potential, working within a small well established planning consultancy. Based in Cirencester, we work nationwide across a variety of sectors; from student accommodation and housing developments, to commercial projects, complex enforcement cases and regeneration projects.

At Plainview we are all about relationships – forming positive bonds with our clients who keep coming back for our innovative and informed planning solutions. They know we are passionate about planning and our role in creating a built environment legacy.  Because of this, we have built up a network of like-minded consultants with whom we work.  Together we seek positive change and solutions to ongoing planning issues.  Our pragmatic and solutions-driven planning approach also ensures effective collaboration with LPAs.

What might your day to day look like?

What do we need from you: 

• The ability to manage your own workload effectively, keeping clients well informed and maintaining clear lines of communication across all relevant parties;
• Ensuring high standards in the quality of your work and adding to a positive, collaborative and supportive working environment;
• Building upon existing client relationships as well as opening up new opportunities for the company’s growth and development;
• Being a significant fee earner and managing your own clients as well as finding exciting new opportunities for the company;
• A proven track record of running planning applications, appeals, enforcement appeals, project management, and managing client contacts effectively;
• A proven track record of supporting and nurturing junior colleagues;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• An ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines under pressure;
• An enthusiastic and motivated individual, committed to continuing professional development, and to ensuring we keep providing exceptional service to our clients and the wider team.

To be successful you will also need:

• A full UK driving licence;
• Be a team player.
