Watermoor Point - a new business hub for the Cotswolds...

Plainview Planning have been providing planning consultancy advice on the acquisition and management of Watermoor Point, a 6 acre employment site in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Plainview Planning unpicked 40 years worth of planning history and set out a clear strategy relating to existing planning policy, emerging site allocations, advertisement consent, and commercial permitted development rights.

The site is the former headquarters of The Colt Car Company and Mitsubishi Motors UK. The facility was commissioned and built for Mitsubishi, hence the offices are shaped as a “M” ! There is a fascinating video on YouTube all about the history of the site – well worth a watch if you are looking for some early 1980s kitsch.

The site is now being re-positioned as a flexible employment hub, reflecting the hybrid working practices accelerated by the COVID pandemic. It provides a unique blend of space for businesses of all shapes and sizes, incorporating:
