London to Paris ride raises £4000 for the charity Sands!

Sands L2PHeartfelt congratulations to Ian Woodward-Court and Andrew Ransome, who cycled 500 km from London to Paris, for the charity Sands last week.

We must also extend huge thanks to all those who kindly sponsored them on their epic journey – we are pleased to announce they raised a total of over £4000 for this worthwhile charity.

Tragically in the UK today, 17 babies a day are stillborn or die within the first twenty eight days of life.  Sands is a stillbirth and neonatal death charity, dedicated to supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby.

They also work with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services provided to bereaved parents and their families, and promote changes in antenatal practice, funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
