Plainview Planning have submitted further robust representations to Maldon District Council relating to their emerging Local Plan.
We have concerns that the plan is unsound. The Council’s spatial strategy is primarily based on maximising development in Maldon and Heybridge within their infrastructure limits, although we consider that these limits have been exceeded.
Furthermore, we consider a mixed‐use development of more than 850 dwellings in North Fambridge would represent a ‘reasonable alternative’ to the spatial strategy. Such a development would deliver significant social and economic infrastructure that would benefit the wider area and meet the principles of sustainable development.
