There has been extensive coverage in the local press on an exciting mixed-use scheme to regenerate the Leigh Industrial Estate in Maldon. Plainview Planning have been supporting the scheme with planning, community consultation and project management expertise.
Public consultation has been ongoing since Tuesday 3rd February and will close on Monday 23rd February. The views provided so far have been helpful and encouraging.
Plainview Planning continue to invite responses from the local community of Maldon and Heybridge to comment on this exciting scheme which has the potential to deliver: 2,000 sq m of new commercial floorspace, up to 150 on-site jobs, and scope for 150 new homes.
The opinions of the local community are vital to help shape this employment-led scheme which will regenerate the existing, rundown industrial estate, bringing new homes and business to the area.
The proposals present an excellent opportunity to secure:
- modern employment space;
- create jobs;
- provide housing on a previously-developed site;
- all within a central location and with good access to public transport.
