Does your council have a local plan in place?

At the time of writing there are 72 Councils with no up to date Local Plan in place.  It is a well-publicised fact that we are facing a housing crisis and yet it appears that many local authorities are hesitant or failing to act.

Now is the time to be engaging with communities to ensure that current and projected local need is met through considered dialogue.  We need to build new homes, but more than that, we need sustainable urban environments to ensure our communities continue to improve and  grow from this generation to the next.

If your local council does not have Local Plan in place it can present a prime opportunity for landowners to get involved in the consultation process and promote their land to be included as a future development site.

Plainview Planning specialise in promoting land into Local Plans.  We can manage your representations to maximise chances of inclusion, and give ongoing advice on the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). Our experience with land promotion projects is wide ranging and we have worked on many schemes including large sites in Burnham, Dover, Tewkesbury, Wincanton and North Fambridge.

We can help coordinate and project manage your promotion efforts to ensure that the Council is provided with persuasive documentation about your site and the right groups are lobbied at the right time.  Due to our ongoing monitoring of the status of Local Plans, Strategic Housing Land Assessments (SHLAA), Strategic Housing Market Assessments (SHMA) and Site Allocation DPDs throughout the country, we are well placed to guide you through the administrative and political process.

Plainview Planning can offer professional expertise and funding to effectively promote your land into an emerging Local Plans or Site Allocation DPDs.  Upon allocation it is then possible to confidently apply for planning permission or look to sell the land to developers. Our services can sometimes be provided on a joint-venture basis.

Please contact to discuss your requirements.
