SENIOR PLANNER

An exciting opportunity to be a part of the growth of our successful and innovative planning consultancy.

We are looking for a senior planner to join our small but well established planning consultancy. Based in Cheltenham we work nationwide across a variety of sectors; from student accommodation and large scale housing developments to self-build schemes, enforcement cases, and householder projects.

Established for 10 years, we are now looking to grow the business and this role is a part of the growth plan. The position offers the opportunity to work with clients on a wide range of projects whilst also being a key contributor within our team of planners. With scope to take an active role in the direction of the business, we are looking for someone with drive and vision along with a solid background in planning.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients to achieve their development goals; from initial contact and strategy advice through to completion;
  • Putting together planning applications and appeals from initial research, submission, management post submission, liaison with councils and clients through to result;
  • Maintaining high standards in the quality of your work and contributing to our positive, collaborative and supportive working environment;
  • Working with the rest of the team on new ideas and initiatives for our working practices and business development.

We encourage all members of the team to take an active role in all areas of the business from sourcing new clients, marketing initiatives, recruitment and team development. New ideas and initiatives are actively encouraged, we are a dynamic business always looking for ways to improve our work and how efficiently we do it.

We are looking for someone with;

  • Proven experience and success in planning;
  • At least 3 years experience in the planning sector;
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK planning system;
  • A strong client care ethic;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A desire to work as part of a team;
  • An RTPI accredited degree;
  • Enthusiasm!
