Ian Woodward-Court

The founder of Plainview Planning and still the primary contact for all new business. Contact Ian directly to discuss your project – ian@plainview.co.uk.

Ian originally trained as a surveyor with a BSc in Land Management, and specialised in town planning with an MSc in Urban Planning & Development. He went on to work for some of the biggest international planning consultancies including Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners and Urbis JHD.

He founded Plainview Planning to provide straightforward planning expertise for all. Projects are fixed fee, advice is always in plain English and we are upfront about your chances of securing permission.

Ian is supported by an excellent team, all of whom strengthen the breadth of the services we offer.

 

James Nicol

A town planning expert with experience working in local government, private practice, and stakeholder communications. James joined Plainview Planning from JBP where he  brought valuable planning experience to  stakeholder consultation, and was involved in many controversial schemes including supermarket developments.

Having worked on behalf of major retailers and telecommunication companies throughout his career as a town planner,  James has the ability to manage large projects effectively and also bring a fresh perspective on community engagement.

 

Emily Joy

Emily joined Plainview Planning from Google, having worked for the internet giant in London and Sydney. Her main roles are in business and project management – she helps Plainview Planning run like clockwork.

 

Adam Rabone

With a BSc in City and Regional Planning, and a Masters in Urban Design, Adam has extensive academic knowledge of planning and design issues and has practical multi-disciplinary experience. He joined Plainview after a number of successful years working for WS Atkins and in private practice, and has particular skills in design and spatial planning, graphic design, and technical drafting.

We aim to be very transparent with our fee structure. All projects are on a fixed fee basis, and invoiced stage-by-stage.

There will never be any nasty surprises like photocopying charges, mileage allowance or additional hours.  What you see on a Plainview Planning quote is what you pay. We believe in clear, simple billing for all our clients.
